Well, I have to say that we ended up doing Valentine's Day justice this year. Eric and I both secretly did something really nice for the other person. I took some Valentine's pictures of our kids and made a slideshow for Eric. I had it playing on our computer Thursday night when Eric came home. I also had the kids at a babysitter and decorated the house for a romantic candlelight dinner, and made him a special meal. It was a great surprise evening for him. BUT... Eric went and out-did me again by surprising me with roses AND an amazing 24 page long poem he wrote to me that goes through the Proverbs 31 woman and shows how he sees those traits in me. He also had some of his students illustrate each page and it is AMAZING!!! Definitely something to keep and pass down to the kids/grandkids. I LOVE IT!!! We also got to go to our church's Valentine's Banquet a few weeks ago. Pictures were taken there and I have them posted at the end. Eric and I both agreed that there is no way next year's Valentine's will be able to top this one. And that is ok. We'll remember this one fondly.

What a fun idea for photos of the kids, those turned out really cute! You can see what Luke and I did for Valentines day this year-- as we've had over a decade of them together now, we had some fun reminiscing and seeing if we could remember what we did for each Valentines day and also each anniversary. Some years were definitely more memorable than others, like you are saying. some we can't even recall! While others we look back on fondly. It was fun to look back and try to piece it all together, good way to spend a date sometimes.
