Parties on the Roof

We've been doing a lot of this lately!  The last 3 Sundays we have hosted our CLG (Community Life Group) from church for a cookout on our rooftop twice, and had our annual Staff Farewell Party cookout as well.  The weather is perfect for it these days and we really enjoy being about to use our roof and landlord's grill to host people here.  We've had so much fun each time.  These pictures are of the Staff Farewell party.  Burgers and hotdogs all around!

Emma just loves having all the company around... especially the kids!
 The grill masters.
The 1 year olds were enamored by the guitar playing.
Mama & not so baby anymore.  Last year at this time she was 2 months old and BALD!
Eric giving a goodbye speech to one of the guys who are leaving this year.
The whole staff gathering around the "leavers" to pray for them and send them off (even though there are a few weeks to go still.)  It is important to say goodbye well in any major transition in life!

A year of Emma via Photo Booth

I've wanted to do this for a long time and since I'm up tonight anyway, I figured I'd use my time wisely and get this done.  Throughout Emma's 1st year of life I or Eric & I would randomly turn on Photo Booth on our computer and take a picture.  Often times I would take them during the day and send them to Eric at school just so he could get a happy greeting and see us.  The 1st picture here was probably taken within a week of Emma coming home from the hospital.  The last one was taken sometime right before her 1st birthday.  I enjoy looking back and seeing how she (and her HAIR) has grown so much!  I hope you will enjoy this too!

3D Ultrasound

Baby Boy Zanger
24 weeks +1 Day

The doctor said, "From top to toe your baby has no abnormalities."  I'd say this is just about the perfect pregnancy!  Praise God!

I love this time of year!

The view looking out the front doors of ICS.  I LOVE this time of year when the fields get flooded and planted and the weather is perfect (aka- warm but not humid yet).

Thursday night the Romsas and Eric (& I) put on a dinner at school for the Seniors.  Here is Eric giving  talk to them on Transitioning to life in the States & in College.
And to end with... a few recent pictures of our cutie patootie.  :)

Children's Day

In Korea, May 5th is Children's Day.  I know this was quite awhile ago now, but hey, I at least have pictures of it to show.  :)  Actually, these were all taken the day before, on May 4th, since Eric had the day off of school.  It was nice to spend a day together just having fun as a family.  In the morning we headed out to the outdoor, 5-day market to buy ourselves some good fruits and veggies.  This is literally just down the street from us and we are so thankful to be able to buy things here.  Much better prices and even quality sometimes over the grocery stores.

Then, after afternoon naptime, we headed out to Little Bear Children's Cafe in Pyongtaek.  Eric had never been to one so it was fun for him to play with Emma in all of the jungle-gym type stuff.

After that, Emma and Eric headed home while I stayed in Pyongtaek for a friend's surprise birthday party.  We had fun eating Australian meat pies, eating cupcakes, and having a ladies Noraebang (karaoke) party.  It was a late night for Mama, but fun to be out with just the girls again.

Emma's 1 Year Pics

First Birthday's are HUGE in Korea.  So for Emma's 1st birthday we saved up so we could go all out with a traditional photo session - Korean style.  It was such a fun experience and I've been dying to get these pics back to share them with everyone.  These are a few of our favorites.  If you'd like to see all of them then comment or email me and I can send you the link.
Enjoy!
